1.
Use
of the Car a)
The Hirer shall use the car for social, and domestic purposes
only. On no account shall the car be used as a taxi, re- hired or
for competing in any form of motor sports. Driving tuition will not
be permitted. b)
The Hirer shall not use or permit the car to be used for
towing. c)
The Hirer shall not effect any mechanical or other
modifications or fit any accessories to the car. d)
The Hirer shall not load or permit any loading of the car
beyond 800Kg. e)
All cars are subject to cleaning before issue.
Hirer is expected to take care of the exterior & interior
of the car and maintain same in very good order during the period of
hire. In the event the car is returned in a poor/neglected condition
the owner may charge an excess of Rs. 250/- as maintenance
surcharge. 2.
Period
of Hire
The car will be
hired for a minimum period of 3 days and a maximum of 30 days.
Extensions of hire will be subject to availability and owner’s
approval. 3.
Statutory
Requirements a)
Driving
License
Drivers must
produce at commencement of hire, a valid driving licence, which has
been held for three years. A valid license is one, which is issued
by the Commissioner of Motor Traffic Sri Lanka, or any other
acceptable international driving licence. 4.
Delivery & Return of cars
Delivery and
return of cars would take place from Monday to Friday during office
hours of 8.30a.m to 5.00p.m.
5.
Hire Charge
Hire charge per
day = Rs 1,399/- (Inclusive of Value Added Tax) excludes stamp duty.
The minimum
period of charge is 24 hours, effective from 10.00 am. Commencement
of Hire will be 10.00 am on any working day irrespective of the time
the car is taken over by the hirer. 6.
Extra Hours Charge
Extra
hours mean the use of the car beyond the term originally contracted.
Extra hours will be billed as follows:

Deposit (a)
The Hirer shall pay the Owner a refundable deposit at the
commencement of hire.
(b)
The deposit would be refunded to the Hirer at the end of the
hire term. (c)
The Owner would be entitled to deduct any such amounts that
are due and payable by the Hirer from the said deposit. (d)
The owner shall not pay any interest to the Hirer on the
refundable deposit. 8.
Payment The
total hire charge for the required period is payable at the
commencement of hiring. Alternatively, arrangements could be made
for payment by credit cards acceptable to the owner.
9.
Excess
Kilometers
The standard
allowance is 100 kilometers per day. Excess kilometers will be
billed at Rs. 10/- + VAT per kilometer. 10.
Fuel
Your car will be
supplied with a full tank of fuel. The car should be returned with
the tank topped up. A re-fuelling service charge of Rs. 250/- plus
cost for fuel will be applicable in the event the car is retuned
without a full tank of fuel 11.
Maintenance of the Car
User shall take
all reasonable steps to ensure that any defects or failures
occurring during the above period in relation to the car are
reported immediately. Upon becoming aware of any defect or failure
in the car, to take all such precautions as may be reasonably
necessary to minimize any damage, which may arise as a result of the
occurrence of such defect or failure, and shall notify CF Fleet
Management services on T.P No 2315233 immediately. The
hirer should not attempt any repair or to rectify any defect on
his/her own without our approval.
(a)
If the period of hire is 30 days or more vehicle must be sent
for a service. Service intervals in no case shall exceed one (1)
month or 3000 kilometers (Whichever occurs sooner), failing so owner
may charge an excess of Rs. 10/- plus VAT would be charged
additionally for every kilometer in excess.

CF Roadside Assistance Service
An emergency
service where mechanical breakdown or in circumstances where a car
cannot be driven is available, "CF
Roadside Assistance Service" comprises a 24
hour, advisory and assistance service throughout the year by a
specially trained team. You may contact our help desk on 0773082308
or 077 7711599. 13.
In case of an accident (a)
If the car is involved in an accident or is damaged, please
contact our Help Desk on 2300555 Ext: 5231. You would be required to
report the accident to the nearest police station (b)
Should there be any Third Party or property damage arising
out of the accident, do not promise any payment to the other party
and any such request should be referred to us. (c)
If the car cannot be driven, contact CF Help Desk on T.P No
2315233 or 0777711599 for towing of the Car. (d)
Provide following details for registering claim with the
Insurer. Ø

Obtain
and submit extract of complaint made to the police. Ø
Submit
Photocopy of driver’s license and thereafter the original
driver’s license for the insurer's scrutiny. 14.

Covers
against loss/ damage to hire vehicle. Ø
Personal
Accident Insurance: - provides benefits in case of injury/death up
to Rs. 15,000/- Ø
Third
Party property damage: Maximum up to Rs. 500,000/- a)
In the event of there being any loss or damage to lamps,
tyres, mudguards, buffers, badges & side mirrors by burglary,
housebreaking or theft which are not reimbursed by the insurer, the
hirer shall reimburse the owner with the cost of replacing such
items. 15.
Charges on Accident Cars a)
Any
damage to the car not supported by a valid Police report would
require the Hirer to reimburse the Owner with the cost of repairing
the said damages. |
